Training can be done wherever a quiet place is available. This person has his computer in his bedroom, so I provided training there.
I usually provide training in 4-hour sessions on-site, with the user's actual equipment. Many individuals take notes during my training.
I can also assist individuals who attend college classes online; for example, this client of mine is attending Ivy Tech classes and uses a speech-recognition program (at the very top) to complete the assignments.
I provide training notes and store them on the the trainee's computer; many products do not have accessible manuals. I also tend to write my own training notes, which contain only the most important information from the manuals.
I often provide training at businesses when my clients are starting a new job. (I minimize the disruption to co-workers.)
As part of my training services, I somtimes provide materials to clients in alternate formats. For a blind client, I translated these books
into text files and stored them on the small Compact Flash memory card (at bottom). The memory card is then placed in the client's Braille notetaker.
Now this client can read her textbooks in Braille independently; here she is looking up an anatomy term in the medical dictionary.
